Opened in January 2000, Edibles aimed to offer customers some of the classic traditional British café food alongside more contemporary culinary options, such as baguettes and healthy breakfast and lunchtime options, in a relaxed atmosphere combining the welcoming feel of a traditional British café with a modern interior design.
It was the determination to put customer comfort at the forefront of the dining experience at Edibles that led to the the entrepreneurial step of becoming a fully non-smoking cafe in 2000 to provide a fresher and healthier dining experience for all of it's customers, several years ahead of the introduction of the UK-wide smoking ban in 2007.
With a further eye to the future and further developing the range of food and services Edibles could offer to it's customers, owner Helen Clark initiated the move into offering outside and event catering services, during and outside of the regular opening times.
The catering service aims to provide a tailored service with a range of set or bespoke hot and cold buffet menus perfectly suited to the customers own requirements and occasion, with Edibles also offering customers help with arranging other party details such as seating plans, balloons, flowers and, as of late 2011, their own chair cover service.
With the years of experience built-up in catering services Edibles have provided catering for a wide diversity of events, such as weddings, Christenings, birthday and company functions, as well as hosting themed evenings at the Edibles premises which have proved to be extremely popular, selling out well in advance.
With a view to diversifying their range of services once more Edibles ventured into the design, production and supply of cup cakes and other cakes suitable for any and all kinds of event or occasion.
Quickly growing from a service born out of requests from family and friends for cakes and cupcakes for birthdays, our cupcakes have proved to be an exceptionally popular and successful product with our customers, both as a one-off treat or as part of a special occasion or themed event, and the service has grown to offer customers the option of a cupcake tower, featuring several tiers of cupcakes designed to suit any occasion, personal or corporate.
Since it's inception the service has proved to be exceptionally popular and successful, and Edibles has been proud to provide their cup cake and cake service for many weddings, birthdays and other occasions. 
Today, together with it's core cafe service alongside the catering and cupcake services, the staff at Edibles continue to strive to provide the same high level of customer service and range of varied, value for money dining that has seen many customers pass through it's doors for the last 12 years to enjoy it's welcoming atmosphere and quality services time and time again.
