ClassVR CPD Videos
To help teachers prepare for and use the ClassVR portal, a range of CPD video courses were created for them to learn at their convenience. The courses covered the more basic aspects of the portal such as logging in, then working up to more involved sessions such as creating a playlist, multi-person lessons and more technical settings.
As demonstrated by the short clip, compilation and two complete examples shown here, the videos consisted of an introductory ClassVR logo animation which I created, followed by a title card that matched the style used on the Eduverse CPD videos for brand typeface/style consistency, albeit with an orange not green background to match the main ClassVR brand colour, which led into various screen recordings of the explorable scenes, 360 images and videos as appropriate, which were recorded by myself and one of the training team at Avantis.
As well as editing the videos together, various effects were used throughout the videos to highlight points of interest or directions for using the portal, including highlighting areas or zooming into a specific area or button, so that the instructions being relayed by the voiceover were as clearly demonstrated as possible to the viewer.
There were several subtle pieces of animation I created to highlight a text field being filled in or a portion of the screen scrolling to make these sections appear as smooth as possible. The script for the video was written and voiced by one of the training team at Avantis, with a couple of notes as to what should feature or be highlighted on screen at certain points of the videos.
The soundtrack for the videos matched that on the other CPD videos which was sourced from stock libraries, with the voice over recorded in house.
