ClassVR Headset Packaging
and User Guide Designs

Designs for the packaging and accompanying user guides for ClassVR's 255-64 and Xplorer headsets.

The Xplorer headset was released as an upgrade to the existing premium headset offered by Avantis for their ClassVR portal and resources, which meant a re-design of the existing ClassVR headset packaging and updating of the accompanying user guide. The brief was to produce a design that featured a clean, uncluttered design, with the typefaces and colours following those set out in the ClassVR brand guidelines.

These layouts experimented with different use of the brand colours, such as solid colour panels rather than just white, introducing some imagery from the ClassVR portal used with the headsets, and designs that had similar or more elements than the previous packaging had and product images that I had taken. The design that was taken forward was the one that was closest to the previous layouts, with slight adjustments to the layout on the previous reverse of the box.

The accompanying user guide had already been redesigned when the previous headset had a couple of technical upgrades.

The design and layout of the user guide therefore remained the same as the previous version, with new product photography which I took at Avantis, and updated illustrations where appropriate to match the layout of the newer headset's features and buttons.
