ClassVR and Eduverse Lesson Plans
These lesson plans were produced in conjunction with the American Battlefield association, who had a small series of explorable and downloadable resources through the ClassVR portal.
The brief was to create a layout that was similar to other ClassVR lesson plans, with several concept layouts drawn up including experimenting with two or three column layouts, with three columns proving best for legibility, especially due to the length of some of the subject text, which also proved a challenge as to where to break the paragraphs at the best point.
The final design followed closely to the lesson plan/teacher note designs, I experimented with a colour bar across the top or behind the American Battlefield logo and age group and added a new VR resource icon, with the inner image changing to an appropriate image - all the images were taken from the American Battlefield website or supplied by them. There was a request from the association that any errors with spelling, grammar and punctuation be left as they are, as they were authentic accounts and didn’t want them changed or updated to modern day language and writing.
The CTE lesson plans were produced to accompany the CTE resources on the ClassVR portal, which gave an overview of a range of potential tail career pathways.
The plans consisted of a framework document that gave an overview of the topic and the experience, and a preparation document for teachers to act as guide for them for the experience and what students should look to gain from the experience and extended learning for the resource topic, and a worksheet supplied as a blank document for students to fill in once they had completed the experience.
To keep with brand consistency, the highlight colours and footer changed colour to match the logo colour, which matched the subject area that the experience was located in.

These lesson plans were created for use in Brazil to accompany the variety of resources available on the ClassVR and Eduverse portal.
The design was derived from the look of the teacher notes that accompany the explorable scenes on Eduverse, and other ClassVR lesson plans. Several concept designs were produced, as shown below on a grey background, including two that featured a full page background image akin to an existing ClassVR Lesson plan design, and one design that featured more white space. These were developed and then a final design chosen after feedback with the Education Services and CEO.
The design incorporated blue highlighted areas for teachers use and a quiz at the end with correct answers highlighted for teachers, with 58 documents produced in total across core subject areas of art, English, geography, history, philosophy, physical education, science and sociology.
